I have an Internet service provider ( ISP ).
Having an e-mail address can mean you already have an Internet service provider (ISP). This usually means ready access to a computer to serve your Web site. I Am Lost |
All you need to do is figure out what you are entitled to, and at what cost, on that computer, sometimes called a host, server, or hostserver/Web server. You want to know specifically two things--how to access the Web server, and what features you want for your Web site. Access to the server can be sorted out easily. The basic information you need is the name of the Web server, your user name, and your password. These must be provided if you want me (as kist.e) to publish your site for you. Alternatively, I can put your Web page or site on a test or staging computer. You then can take a copy and publish your Web site through your ISP. I can also act as your representative to your ISP-with your authorization. Here is a short list of Web site features a number of ISPs make available to their accounts (users).
But if you have this last feature, why use a personalized service such as kist.e? Maybe you don't me except to just get you started. If you wish to use my services, contact me and let's discuss what you have and what is available to you. Oh, if your ISP does not have the feature(s) you want, that is usually not a big problem. If it is not built, and the technology allows, it probably can be. |
